We made some Halloween decoration out of 1/4″ MDF and card stock.
First I cut the pumpkins out of 1/4″ MDF with a 1/16″ down cut end mill on the Longmill MK2
Watch till the end to hear the bit break.
- Pass depth: 0.161 inches
- Spindle speed: About 19500 RPM, between 3-4 on the makita router.
- Feed rate: 1080 mm/min
Then I cut the pumpkin outlines out of Dolorama card stock with my @SienciLabs Laserbeam on the Longmill MK2
These will be glued to the back of the MDF pumpkins after they are painted.
- Lens: G2
- Pass: 1
- Power: 100%
- Speed: 5 mm/sec
Then we painted the MDF with acrylic paint and glued the backgrounds to the back.
